Human Resources Business Partner - Taunton - £40-50,000

Well Placed HR are delighted to have been exclusively engaged by a new client, a fast expanding specialist services business based in Taunton. The company currently seeks to recruit an HR Business Partner to join them on a full time, permanent contract to be based on site at their headquarters in Taunton (with parking), commencing asap. 

Working closely alongside the board of directors and senior management team, this will be a pivotal role for our client and one where the successful candidate will essentially assume overall responsibility for the people management and HR function. Key responsibilities to include: 

- Assume line management responsibility for a small but growing HRM team 

- Play a lead role in developing, implementing and improving processes creating robust people management initiatives to support a growing head count

- Lead on employee relations, working closely between the senior management team and wider employees

- Deliver high quality HR metrics with commentary to the senior management team 

- Develop initiatives that promote a happy and loyal team with professional mentoring and CPD to ensure the business is considered an employer of choice

- Manage and oversee the company’s ongoing recruitment and talent attraction initiatives 

- Develop and future proof digital HR systems 

- Ensure compliance with UK employment law and statutory reporting requirements 

- Develop and improve high quality appraisal and rewards policies 

- Monitor a high quality pay and rewards scheme   

We’re looking for an experienced candidate, either qualified by experience or CIPD level 5 qualified (or higher), with at least 2-3 years’ experience working at manager level, ideally within a fast paced services environment. This is a pivotal, senior level appointment where the successful candidate will require significant experience in designing and implementing efficient HR policies & procedures, contracts of employment, and possess an up to date knowledge of UK employment law.
