Exclusive to Well Placed HR
Research & Development Coordinator - St. Austell - £35-40,000
Well Placed HR are delighted to have been exclusively reengaged by a past client who have tasked us with sourcing an R&D Coordinator to join their team in a newly created role. The recruiting business is a well-established precision manufacturing and direct reselling business with a highly respected product range aimed at both the consumer and commercial marketplace. The role is offered as a full time, permanent basis contract to be based at the company’s modern headquarters in St. Austell.
In this interesting and varied role, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that the company’s product range are considered to be the preferred choice for their customers. The focus of the role will be to support the wider team in ensuring high quality product improvements and continued development, keeping ahead of market trends. Key responsibilities to include:
- Regularly collaborate with departmental colleagues (principally engineering, procurement, marketing, business development and senior management staff), to ensure efficient project management flow
- Project management and development of new products and launches
- Coordinating product quality reviews
- Manage existing product improvement processes
- Produce and review quality control reports
- R&D claim creation and annual submission, and administer applicable tax relief
- Ensure that new and existing products comply with British Standards
- Ensure that product information is continuously updated on the company’s CRM system
For this role we seek a focussed individual with recent project management experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing, production or engineering environment. The successful candidate should have the aptitude to quickly assimilate new knowledge, and have experience of working in team-based environments. Whilst direct R7D experience is not a pre-requisite, candidates possessing this experience are of course encouraged to apply! This will be a busy and varied role often requiring the R&D Coordinator to manage several simultaneous projects working closely alongside a number of different colleagues so excellent organisational and team-working skills will be important to ensure the success of this role.
