Exclusive to Well Placed HR
Head of Human Resources - Exeter / Hybrid - Circa: £80,000 + generous bonus and benefits package
If you’re of a mindset that all HR-number-one recruitment projects should encompass a detailed list of responsibilities within the advertising blurb, we’re going to disappoint. Why? Firstly, we believe that an experienced Head of HR operating at this level will already appreciate that no two roles will ever be the same because no two businesses are ever the same. Secondly, this is a brand-new opportunity where you’ll be building and developing the value of your own position from the ground up. No bullet-pointed job description is going to be relevant or to do the opportunity justice.
Well Placed HR are delighted to present one of the most interesting and exciting people management employment opportunities that we’ve seen for some time in the Southwest. A role of pivotal responsibility but with infinite opportunity, particularly given that the recruiting business is evidently poised for supersonic growth.
We've spent considerable time working with the company’s board of directors on this project. Their passion and enthusiasm for the business is infectious and this has undoubtedly been the reason that they now employ in excess of 100 staff and turnover more than £12M… and still continue to grow at an impressive pace.
This success has created an opportunity for an experienced people management leader to join the team. This is, as you would expect, a senior level appointment within the business and one of pivotal importance to the future success of the company. The successful candidate will be well versed in spinning multiple plates simultaneously - operating diligently and professionally to manage all aspects of the company’s people management function to include, but not limited to: Designing and implementing high quality, future proof HRM initiatives that reward performance and employee contentment, talent management, effective recruitment and onboarding processes, rolling out superb employee relations and ensuring robust compliance with UK employment law. This is both a strategic, operational and entirely commercial opportunity where you’ll use your in-depth experience to lead and influence your colleagues across all areas of the business.
What we’re looking for: Needless to say, an HRM professional with vast experience in leading and mentoring internal culture and with a solid understanding of key people management processes. Previous experience gained within a fast growth, entrepreneurial led business would be highly advantageous as would a strong understanding of technology driven HRM tools and processes.
The role has the potential to be genuinely career changing for the right person. On offer is an impressive base salary (negotiable DOE), a superb performance related bonus and a generous range of financial and non-financial benefits. Hybrid working will be on offer from the word go (3/2 arrangement).
We’ve partnered with this employer on an exclusive basis so you won’t be battling against multiple applicants. In fact, our self-imposed brief is to introduce as few candidates as we can. If you feel that you’d like to be one of those, please contact Carly Kellow quoting reference CK10435 as soon as possible - our client is keen to find the right person without delay. It goes without saying that all enquiries will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
