Part Time Human Resources Manager - Hayle - £33-35,000 FTE
Well Placed HR are delighted to have been exclusively engaged by a dynamic and interesting technology business that has experienced year-on-year growth, and has ambitious plans for the future. The company now seeks to recruit a Human Resources Manager to join them in a position of pivotal responsibility. The role is offered as a permanent, part time contract operated over a flexible 20 hour working week to suit the successful candidate.
This will be a broad and wide-ranging opportunity that will offer the successful candidate the autonomy to effectively create a function from the ground up, developing and implementing robust people management processes and policies. The role will report to the company’s CEO and work closely with colleagues throughout the business (current head count in excess of 20 employees). Key responsibilities to include:
- Develop and implement HR controls that nurture a positive and compliant workplace culture
- Prepare monthly HRM metrics
- Offer high quality ER advice to managers and employees throughout the business
- Assume a lead role in all aspects of the company’s recruitment and onboarding strategy
- Design and implement performance management systems and initiatives
- Monitor and analyse sickness and absences
- Manage grievance and disciplinary controls
- Administer employee rewards and benefits initiatives
We’re seeking an experienced HR generalist, ideally with a background gained in a similar sized SME (manufacturing exposure desirable but not essential). Suitable candidates will ideally, though certainly not essentially, be operating at CIPD level 5 or above and have up to date knowledge of employment legislation and proven experience in enhancing and improving existing processes. The successful candidate will be a well-known and respected member of the team so great communication skills and a cheerful disposition will be essential!
